Update on Farm April 09

Spring Salad Workshop

Raising Your Garden Bed Workshop


May 9, 10, 23,24

Time: 1-2pm

$5/person (FFA will give all monies to food bank)

Children's Pumpkin Workshop
May 30 and 31, June 6 and 7
Time: 1-2pm
$10.00/child

Kids will be able to plant their own pumpkin seed or transplant into our garden. We will care for it and they can visit their project at our farm. In late summer the kids can carve their name in their own pumpkin. In the fall they can come to the farm and pick their very own pumpkin. Seed to Harvest!!!! Learn the cyles of nature!

Growing your own Homegrown Salad Workshop

Salad Workshop

This workshop will be offered May 2nd, 3rd, 16th and 17th. "Growing your own Homegrown Salad"

The workshop will include a 20" biodegradable container, soil, seeds or transplants. It will be your very own organic lettuce. Plant some arugula, mixed lettuces and some swiss chard all in one container. Keep cutting on it all summer long. ( A great Mother's Day gift)

Cost: $25 includes all you need

Demonstration Workshops




Building a raised bed can open up gardening to people with back and knee problems or people with wheelchairs. This workshop will show you how to build a raised bed. Two FFA students from Marshall will be demonstrating all there is to know about building and using a raised bed. They got a Gold rating at the FFA demonstration contest at the state level.
Come out to the farm and learn about building a raised bed and what things you can successfully grow. We will help you plan your perfect garden. Veggies, Herbs, Flowers or all three.
Dates: May 9th, 10th, 23rd and 24th 1-2pm
Cost: $5 each ( FFA will donate all money to the Food Bank )
